These pure silver teishin's are hand-made one at a time in Nayarit, Mexico by a dear friend of Bob Quinn, our Blue Poppy blogger. The artist is a popular local silversmith with a fine sense for design. He works in a small local arts community coop in San Pancho, Nayarit. The teishin show his familiarity with the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi in which asymmetry and slight irregularities are favored over perfectly machined symmetry. The idea behind this style is that this is the way of nature.
Length is about 2.75 inches.
