This class will teach you how to develop a sound approach to diagnosis and understand the various possible patterns that contribute to men's diseases, in unique and challenging ways. Expand your understanding of men's physiology in Chinese Medicine. In this class, Bob Damone discusses the etiological and pathological role of damp-heat, blood stasis, and qi stagnation, and the roles of each viscera and bowel (zang4-fu3) in the development of men's reproductive, urological and sexual diseases. Throughout the class, and especially through case study examples, Bob Damone explains how disease causes and pathomechanisims affect diagnosis, and treatment strategies for male infertility, male sexual dysfunction and prostatic hyperplasia.

About your instructor: Bob Damone, M.S., L.Ac. has over 17 years of experience as a practitioner of Chinese medicine. He reads Chinese medical Chinese and has studied Chinese medicine on Taiwan and in mainland China. Devoted to the art of Chinese herbal medicine, Bob has been teaching clinical and theoretical courses at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine for over 11 years; in the past, he also served as the Chair of the department of clinical practice and as interim academic dean. He is one of the most respected practitioners and teachers of Chinese medicine in the San Diego area. His recent publications and translation contributions include Ten Lectures on Formulas from the Personal Experience of Jiao Shu-De,” and “A Heart Approach to gynecology; Essential in Verse.” He is currently writing a book on the treatment of men with Chinese medicine, which is forthcoming from Blue Poppy Press.
