Course description: This on-line course presents one of the most important theories of Chinese medicine, the concept of Yin Fire, created by Li Dong-yuan 900 years ago. The speaker discusses how this theory can be used to help understand the disease mechanisms of patients with auto-immune diseases, allergies, cancer, and all of the most difficult conditions that practitioners may see in clinical practice.
Goals of this course:
- To introduce students to Li’s Yin Fire Theory.
- To introduce students to how disease mechanisms are mutually engendering and do arise by accident.
- To acquaint students with several of Li Dong-yuan’s most famous formulas and how they “embody” this theory.
- To understand how this theory applies to our modern patients in the West.
