Fibromyalgia is a common diagnosis in clinical practice, but many practitioners are not clear on how to treat this condition with acupuncture and Chinese medicinals. In this class, Bob Flaws discusses the Chinese medical disease causes and mechanisms of this condition and its most commonly presenting patterns. Bob explains why the trigger points of fibromyalgia occur where they do, using Li Dong-yuan’s yin fire theory. Based on this theory, Bob then goes on to describe an acupuncture and Chinese medicinal protocol for this complaint which has proven itself extremely effective in real-life practice.
